Getting Ready! Time for Grand Olde Flag!

Is it really June?  I was agonizing today thinking that Christmas Open House is only five months away.  That thought makes me sweaty for sure.  We do love planning our gatherings and that is exactly what we are getting the shop ready for this week.  It’s time for “Grande Old Flag”!  This year our theme is “Lincoln”.

Our out of town guests will begin arriving very soon so we are busy getting the shop in tip top shape as we prepare to debut new home decor, quilts, and stitchery.   Loving our new 30 1/4″ Distressed Vintage Wall Water Fountain.  I have them filled outside and inside showing you how awesome and functional they are.  This is one of those indulgences you will find hard to resist because there are so many ways it can be used every season. The cost is $225.00.

I was totally distracted at market when I saw this “Wood and Metal Game Wheel” as I could imagine what a great vintage look it would be in a study, great room or game area.  Of course it turns around but isn’t really the gambling wheel it resembles but it makes for good conversation for sure.

It sells for $175.00.  Love its great color too and doesn’t it look so good with the new Riverbanks fabric.

White Farmhouse crocks just waiting for our new lambs ear and other great foliage , tobacco baskets, shutter lights, and an amazing Tim Holtz “Tailors Spinning Wheel Quilt” is some of what we have trending in our decor.

The quilt on the bed is 70″ x 80″ and our kit is $106.00, pattern needed.  This has some modern aspects but really great vintage fabric is the core.

Don’t you think it could be a good “Happy Father’s Day” idea?

Plum Streets “Sarah Oliver” is back from the  framer and this antique looks pretty perfect in its worn and loved frame.  I think the border and subtle colors are what  sold me on this magnificent sampler.

We also got Kathy Barricks “Edward and Fiona” back and it is framed in a newer molding but Nancy says she ended up having enough for two more if anyone would like there piece to look like ours.  Let us know we can make it happen.

I love this time of the year when we can get our patriotic face on.  Summer is happening, so lets take some time to enjoy it!  Hope you are able to get away for the WIS Shop Hop which is going on through June 24th or visit our  Annual Art Fair June 24th and 25th.  If you are interested in the Wisconsin hop our quilt was designed by Selma this year and is called “Summertime in Wisconsin“.  This is a perfect summer picnic quilt or table topper. It measures  47″ x 47”.  We still have some kits and they are priced at $53.00.  Patterns are sold separately for $9.00.  Our fabric was designed by Holly Taylor so you get a great feel for our wonderful Wisconsin escapes.  Notice the great fish wall art.  I couldn’t resist coupling these two.

I am putting in a few more pictures  of our fabric Antiquities and of course we have some pretty swell pieces for the decor showing too.  The galvanized mirror, and by the way mirrors, reflecting your rooms and treasures are really a great addition to any room. I couldn’t resist taking a close up of the mirror as it was reflecting one of my favorite chickens we have ever had in the shop but don’t miss the quilt you see it is a great summer quilt made by Gwen called “Buttermilk and Blue”.  I think if you struggle to keep your floss and threads organized our thread box with eight spacious drawers certainly could be an answer.  Can’t wait for you to be our guest!
