This is Maggie's project, it is called the 1835 Bedcover we will be
putting up an even closer view so you can really see the detail.
Stacy's projects will also be up soon. Both Designers will also be
bringing in trunk shows. Pretty exciting, tell your friends and join us
for an extraordinary gathering. I know people are already beginning to
plan there fall outings I hope you will find time to include us in yours. The photo
to the left is just a bigger picture of the Bed Cover that helps you see
the details of the project so much better. Maggie also plans to
teach us how to make an Antique Puzzle Ball. I think you will be
happy to have Maggie
guide
you through this little project. We just got the Stacy Nash
Projects today. You are just going to flip. They are going
to be wonderful, so us, I just can't stand it I want to take all of the
classes. Do you think the girls will let me? Stacy has
chosen
to do a sawdust stuffed Peacock Pinkeep and a companion 1883
Sewing Roll. You can see the from and the back of the sewing
roll. Your kits will all have the same reproduction fabrics and
this has bee just for our class. Stacy will also be bring one of a
kind needfuls to sell and a new Book she has just put together for the
Holid ays.
The next photo I'm putting up will be of he Peacock Pinkeep.
This so typical Stacy Nash with the old Peacock Motif. I have to
tell you we have absolutely the best 2 possible designers. Don't
miss the opportunity to spend a weekend with them both. It is
going to be memorable. It is exactly what I had hoped . I
hope we will hear from you soon I want to assure our guest designers of
their popularity in our area.
(phone: 608- 588-2510
asap
***kits have to be ordered by September 15th)
I am projecting the
package price to come in around $275.00 for all of the designer kits.
If it is less than that it will be a bonus but with travel expenses for
our designers I think this will be pretty close.
A
Big Time Road Trip is in the works for 2008
It will include several Top Minnesota Quilt Shops , 3 Top Wisconsin
Shops, and 4 Illinois shops
"Holiday Express Bus Tour"
Friday November 14 - Sunday November 16
That's like the Polar Express only we are going to "Quilt Shops"
and instead of a fast train you will be on an Able Trek deluxe motor
coach heading for not the North Pole but Minnesota! We are going
Fabric Shopping in a great big way.
This is a chance to see some wonderful shops in the Wisconsin and
Minnesota area all decked for fall and the Holidays. It's been years
since we have jumped on board with a great bus tour like this and it
just seemed like it was the right time.
Our Bus will depart from Country Sampler in Spring Green on Friday
November 14th at 7:30am.
Your first stop will be in Eau Claire where you will have lunch and
visit the
"Calico Shop",
you will continue onto Coon Rapids and arrive at "Fat
Quarter
Quilting",
then continue on to St. Cloud where you will have dinner and shop at
Grubers, and
then spend the night in St. Cloud at and America Inn.
You will have
3 stops at shops on the Friday.
Saturday depart St. Cloud to
"Eagle Creek" Quilt
Shop in
Shakopee, MN, have lunch in St. Paul and go to the
"Quilters
Courtyard",
your next stop will be
"Charlotte's Web"
in Stillwater. You will have dinner and also stay over in
Stillwater at a Comfort Inn Suites. This is a great little town and you will hopefully
have time to explore it in the evening.
You will stay in Stillwater this evening and depart at 8 am to come back
to Spring Green. You are scheduled to arrive back at the shop by
2pm. We will be waiting for you and will have just had our Annual
American Country Christmas Open House a week prior so our halls will be
decked. It is my favorite time to present the best of Christmas
for your home.
We are pretty excited to have been asked to participate in this bus tour
and feel you will get a chance to visit wonderful Minnesota and
Wisconsin top shops you
have only read and heard about. In turn the Minnesota shops
customers will get
a chance to visit Country Sampler, JJ Stitches, Stitchers Crossing as
well as Chicago area shops. I hope this sounds like
something you would enjoy, the shops will be decked out for the holidays
and I think that alone will be fun. New quilts, cross
stitch, punch needle and traditional and primitives holiday decor will
deck the halls.
Details: Your fee, includes travel and lodging.
Your
room fee is
based on double room occupancy, if you choose to have four people in the
room your fee will be less.
Meals are not
included you will be responsible for what you eat.
***Right
this minute we are projecting a cost of $200.00 per person. We
must have at least 35 on the bus to keep this rate. We will be
taking a $50.00 deposit at this time and as we achieve our number goal
we will then have to have the remainder.
***If
you decide you are comfortable with 4 people in a room it sounds like
from what we have been told the cost would be $150.00 and that would
mean you could quite possible buy more fabric.
We will begin taking reservations right away. (608-588-2510)
There will be no refunds and credit cards will not be excepted,
personal
checks only.
