Come into the Shades that help Define us at 133 :

Come into the amazing shades of a new season at 133.  I love the seasonal changes and the whole process of getting ready to present that  transition to you is so exciting for

all of us at the shop.

We are constantly working on new quilts for the holidays, and just classic projects for everyday with the palettes we love.  Right now we are planning for our annual Quilt Expo  September 2nd where we will give you a fine taste of the new season and you will be excited over our playful holiday fare as well.

A dreamy palette of “Reed’s Legacy” is what is trending throughout the shop right now and will be something you will see us reaching out to incorporate many other new lines in stock and coming in that lend themselves to our style.  Just a FYI:  We can hardly wait for all the new Boro textures to arrive in December. They look amazing with our prints and colors!

Crazy Bett and Moonlight Serenade

I am excited to get out of the box and

Fire-Fly Garden and happily Ever After

show you how to use fabric for more than quilts.  When you see the beautiful duvet covers, whole cloth coverlets and shams we have made up to inspire your imagination I hope you will take a

leap of faith and decide to branch out and think of all the amazing things you can do in your own personal spaces.  I was excited to even cover a stool, make up some great quilted travel bags that will overnight with friends and family and even make great

Summer legacy Runner

gifts for your kiddos or a bestie.  We have also been excited to use a scallop on our edges of the quilts, its a more European look but definitely a trend you are seeing more of this year in the home magazines. It adds a bit of frosting to your project and we have the tool  available and encourage you to give it a try it makes your work much easier.

On the left side you can see  “Crazy Bett” designed by Carol Hopkins and “Moonlight Serenade” designed by Mary Boldt.  On the right you can see a corner of the “Happily Ever After” quilt with scallop edges and “Firefly Garden”.  These two were both designed by Mary Boldt.  So soft and dreamy and easy to incorporate into your decor.

Everyone likes to have a new table runner and Gwen had a design everyone wanted and we thought it would also be a perfect fit for the new fabric.  She is calling this “Summer Legacy”.    I took it home to get a feel for it on my table and it really is a great runner going nicely with light dishes and chargers.

Legacy Stars and Wholecloth Coverlet

Grateful thankful Blessed

I could hardly wait to change up the front window and put in the whole cloth coverlet and  layer it with Gwen’s “Legacy Stars”Folks this is one stunning quilt.   Gwen made this pattern up in a smaller version this past Christmas and she  enlarged the size when we looked at how beautiful the new Legacy version could be.  I have been anxious to get out some of the new fall decor so this was my opportunity.

The pumpkins, Allum, leaves, berries and eucalyptus in fall hues are going to be great to dress your indoor and outdoor spaces.

I had to bring back my favorite autumn sampler “Grateful -Thankful-Blessed” by With Thy Needle and check out her new Boo to You.   It’s spectacular.  If you get started stitching it could be on your wall yet this year.  Just a little add on to your projects we’ re all over “Boo To You”.

Boo to You

Everyone of us are crushing on that little checked skirt.   Could she be any cuter?  We can not wait to get her stitched for the shop.

Getting back to Legacy projects I am anxious to

show you “Tall Ships and Tiny Sails” stitched for us by Jan Smith and the pattern maker is  Vicki Hodge.  It is  a great honor to get another perspective  from another designer.  I love this particular piece because it looks quite swell on our wonderful small beds.

The shop is full of great new decor you can see in the pictures on our Facebook pages.  You can also go on line and read about in my weekly newsletter.  Trending lighting is popular, mirrors are spectacular and really help define a space.  The reflections you get really make your decor stand out.  We have wonderful storage items too

Tall Ships and Tiny Sails

and who doesn’t need great ideas for storage?

Hydrangea Garden

“Hydrangea Garden” is another new legacy by Vicki Hodge.  This is unique because it uses the entire fat quarter pack and we enclose the binding in the kit and you are set to go.  It is hard to not like a nine patch and flying geese. Vicki has brought her distinctive style to our table.  She was just featured in the new Quiltmania magazine if you are not familiar.

The new fat quarter packs are $99.00 and can be purchased if you would just like a quarter of each sku in the collection.

Morris 1812 and Sarah’s basket

As summer begins to wind down we still are amazed and on how much we are loving the patriotic trending quilts.  They will be good until after Labor Day for sure and then we go full on into fall and the holidays.  The fabric we have ordered for the new seasons and holidays is some of the best we have had and our 133 girls can hardly wait to really get into all of the projects we have got on our plates.  More Legacy photos, the Hydrangea Duvet cover, has matching shams and can be made to be reversible so you can enjoy two of your favorite favorite fabrics from the line or a wonderful coordinate linen or favorite woven that gives you another option.  I know how I like to switch things up as the seasons change and I am sure you do too.  You are probably noticing all of lavender in the shop.  it’s beautiful and is so delicate and wispy it looks great wherever we put it.  We also have lavender bundles and bulk for sachets.

Made in the USA

We are definitely getting close to selling out of our Wisconsin Shop Hop projects.  They were some of the best we

Legacy Hydrangea Duvet

have done to date but the fabric was also so great and easy to work with and we have Lisa from Primitive Gatherings to thank for that.

As the fall football season approaches and tailgating and get togethers for the games begin we have terrific table toppers, cover-ups, runners, and Wisconsin pillows to perk up your decor.  Mind you we don’t have lots of kits but we would like to sell through the remaining kits.  Remember they make incredible gifts for anyone in Wisconsin or someone with a heart on Wisconsin that lives out of state.  The quilt on the bed was designed by Barb Voss and it is

Badger Picnic Quilt

a great tailgate “Picnic Quilt” or would be swell on a sofa or wall.  Barb also made up the great “Wisconsin Pillows”.

Badger state of Mine

They come packaged in twos and that works out just perfect. All of the kits you are seeing are available in the shopping cart. On the right is Mary’s “Badger State of Mine”.    It is fun to share what we are up to and we are looking forward to sharing lots more as we get close to having our annual Quilt Expo in our Showroom.  Save the dates September 2nd- 7th.  We look forward to seeing many old friends and of course meeting new.  It is a beautiful time of year to get acquainted with us

Time to make your own legacy with our creative solutions for your decor and help you personalize your space..

Carpe Diem!
