Bliss Spring & Favorite Things @133!

Bunny Magnifier looking for spring

February 2020:  The garden gate swings open and an awakening of blush blooms and lush color begins to inspire  our amazing “Little Women” to creatively define their dreams in textiles and extraordinary handwork that is sometimes historical, needful, and even playful.  133 is all about an opportunity to inspire your personality and continually build your story.

As we pioneer our way into 2020 we are energized by all the great positive energy our industry allots us.  Our first market of decor was over the moon for us and now we are gearing up for needlework in a few weeks and then its quilt market.   We do get over stimulated but I think its a life line that lets us define who we are and where we want to end up.  Yes, peeps if you think about what amazing women you all are you should feel a great rush of energized accomplishment.  Lets soar, tell our stories and

definitely create lasting memories.  Our clubs and gatherings are where we start.

February is a transition month when we are all ready for spring but winter tends to want to hang on so we embrace those frosty days with comforting handwork to soothe our souls.

Red Rock Sunrise Quilt

Red Rock Sunrise Quilt

At the shop we have a month of great quilting shared by fourteen  other quilt shops in our area.  So there is no reason for cabin fever here, it’s a month of inspiring quilts and projects for your home and well being..  We hope you visit us in person or online. This Barb’s beautiful new “Red Rock Sunrise”. The kit measures 59″ x 76″ and sells for $123.50.

Paper Hearts Runner

Notice the adorable antique whitewashed dough bowls so functional for sure and we have three sizes to fulfill all your needs.  Mary designed this great new table runner called “Paper Hearts” because we have all cut those chains of hearts sometime in our lives just not out of fabric and the timing was right.  The runner measures  22″ x 42″ and we have kitted it with backing and binding for $63.00.  You will need the pattern and it is priced at $9.00.

All of us girls at 133 loved the

“Words Matter” panels so we knew we had to come up with some amazing results for use.

We over dyed everything because it was a bit too white for us and we creatively decided to embellish with chenille and some great patterned fabric that just made the panels sing.  I see these used on a sofa, thrown over an over sized

chair, in bedrooms, and what a great idea for a wedding shower.  All in all these are some great winning

ideas to ponder.  Kits are available online.

The next idea was hatched when we found a Laundry Basket pattern called “Cupidity”  it’s so adorbs peeps.

This quilt measures 60″x 60″  so it would be pretty swell on the wall as well as thrown over the bed or sofa.

The kits are ready to ship at $116.50 and the pattern is sold for $9.00.

As our thoughts turn to springtime Barb was inspired to create a special little quilt we have named “Spring Blooms”.   The pattern happens to be another Laundry Basket pattern known as “Cranberry Corners”.  We had been saving a palette of great colored prints and had just the right supporting colors that made “First Bloom” is our version of a breath of hope for what’s to come.

Our “First Bloom” quilt measures 72″ x 84″ and our kit is sold for $130.00. Pattern priced separately at $10.00.

I do love spring and the thought of everything turning into a rainbow of inspiring blooms and then there is the palette of fresh green hues, and soft neutrals that complete the seasons beauty. As I page through new books that have arrived I see lots of florals and that was the one thing we kept seeing all through market.  Blooms complete an inviting decor.

You all loved our first Worn & Loved quilt so much we decided to change it up a bit and do “Worn & Loved Again” using the dreamy Legacy fabric and our favorite Diamond textiles to add the texture we like in our quilts.  This quilt measures 42″ x 42″ and sells for $58.50.

When Mary and I were at market last year we saw this adorable hedgehog gauze fabric that they had made into little drawstring bags.  So Mary made one up, so cute and easy to sew together.

I have a few other spring pics you might enjoy.  This past weekend has given us all a bit of spring fever.  I have a close up of Barb’s Spring Blooms and It really is quite cheerful.  This color was all over the spring market in Atlanta.  It was referred to as a blush.  We bought some quite amazing pieces that you will be seeing over the next few weeks as

Spring blush Yarrow, and Rabbits
